Patented system to apply Linerless self-adhesive labels.

Ground-breaking innovation in self-adhesive labelling, ILTI’S Proper-LL1 is an exclusive and patented system for the application of Linerless labels.

Developed in collaboration with the project Core Linerless Solutions®, the labelling head handles labels that have no backing liner and hence sensibly cut down on plastic wastage as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional self-adhesive.

Sustainability is paired with enhanced efficiency: each Linerless reel can carry up to three times more labels, resulting in reduced production downtimes due to reel changes and improved line productivity. As a further benefit, no backing liner to dispose of, along with reduced transport and storage costs will also result in a better overall cost-efficiency.

Linerless labelling heads are suitable for the Food&Beverage, Home & Personal Care, pharmaceutical and non-food industries, and for various products: cylindrical or shaped containers in plastic or glass, front&back, partial or wrap-around labels. With a speed capacity of 80 mt/min and up to 36.000 bph, LL1 can fit all common industrial needs. For higher speeds, LL2 will be released on the market shortly.

Labels are applied and cut by means of a format-specific transfer drum, and servo-motorization on unwinder, drive rollers and transfer drum guarantees flawless precision and smooth handling. Accurate engineering, high quality components and sturdy support make for a durable and reliable equipment.

All ILTI labelling heads are equipped with an autonomous control system and operator panel, with integrated non-stop function. Software management is carefully developed internally, to guarantee total control over the system. This enables their installation on an ILTI labeller and on existing third parties’ machines.
